Coming soon for the Mac

More calm in your finances.

Understand where your money goes and what you can do better. Privately on your Mac.

Tell me when it's out

centino answers the questions you'd otherwise ask yourself at the end of the month, from your own bank statements.

centino is a personal finance app for the Mac that analyses your spending and income. Instead of typing every transaction into a budget spreadsheet, you import your bank statement as CSV, CAMT or MT940, from almost any bank in the EU. centino sorts your transactions into categories, spots subscriptions and fixed costs, and shows how much money you have left each month.

Life events
01Overview

How much is left this month?

One sentence instead of a balance sheet: “So far in October, € 1,549 is left over, in all of September it was € 1,566.”

Plus your net worth across all accounts, your savings rate, how long your emergency fund lasts and the share of fixed costs. All at a glance, no spreadsheet.

02Spending & income

Where does my money go?

By category, month by month. Click a bar to see the transactions behind it.

How much goes on groceries, eating out, housing or leisure, what has gone up since last year, and where is it easiest to save? The Household Statement sums up income, fixed costs and discretionary spending as a yearly average.

At the kitchen table, not in a spreadsheet.

No formulas, no bookkeeping. Rules sort your transactions by themselves. Anything unclear (duplicates, transfers between your own accounts, new payees) ends up in “To Do”.

03Regular payments

Which subscriptions and contracts are actually running?

centino recognises recurring payments by itself and shows what's left each month after fixed costs.

Streaming, phone plan, insurance, rent: all on one page, with amount and next date. New subscriptions stand out right away, and “Upcoming transactions” shows what will be debited in the coming weeks.

04Net worth

How is my net worth growing?

Accounts and portfolios together, looking back and with a forecast based on your assumptions, without inflation, without promises.

Current account, savings, credit card and investment portfolio in one view, including foreign currencies at European Central Bank rates. For every security in your portfolio you see its price history, cost and transactions. Savings goals show when you'll reach them, and budget planning what a small change adds up to over the years.

05Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Is centino a budgeting app?

Yes and no. It shows your income and spending like a household budget, but without typing anything in. Transactions come from your bank statement.

Which banks are supported?

Any bank that lets you download transactions as CSV, CAMT.053 or MT940. That's almost every bank in the EU. Exports from MoneyMoney and other banking apps work too.

Does centino need access to my bank account?

No. centino never connects to your bank and doesn't know your login details. You download the statement yourself.

Where is my data stored?

In a single file encrypted with AES-256 on your Mac or wherever you put it, such as iCloud Drive for several Macs. There is no user account and no server.

Which devices does centino run on?

Macs with Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later, in English and German. A version for iPhone and iPad is planned for later.

Is centino investment advice?

No. Reports and forecasts are based solely on your data and assumptions and are not a recommendation. More under Notices and liability.
